Kurzak and Alagna had already shone in Munich in 2016 in the production of Halévy's "La Juive". Alagna, like B. F. Pinkerton, presents itself directly with an expansive volume as one of its great strengths. He convinces above all in the warmly timbred middle register.... Vocally, the two harmonise strongly in the passionate duet "Vogliatemi bene, un bene piccolino" at the end of the first act.
